CAIRDEAS WINERY

RHÔNE INSPIRED WINES CRAFTED IN LAKE CHELAN
We pull our inspiration from the Rhône valley of France and craft delicious wines from Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Counoise, Cinsault (red grapes) and Viognier, Roussanne, Marsanne, Grenache Blanc, Picpoul (white grapes) to craft some traditional and truly unique blends.

The Rhône is generally divided into two sub-regions with distinct vinicultural traditions, the Northern Rhône and the Southern Rhône. The northern sub-region produces red wines from the Syrah grape, sometimes blended with white wine grapes, and white wines from Marsanne, Roussane and Viognier grapes. The southern sub-region produces an array of red, white and rosé wines, often blends of several grapes such as in Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

CALLAN CELLARS

Family Owned and Operated
Lisa Callan launched her professional winemaking career by diving headfirst into the highly acclaimed WSU enology program in 2010. From there she embarked on a whirlwind journey working as a production internship at a prestigious Woodinville winery that taught her the hands-on skills of critical winemaking with a focus on structured, well balanced wine. From there she honed her talents as an assistant winemaker for another Woodinville establishment before striking out on her own under the Callan Cellars label.

DAMSEL CELLARS

Not all Damsels are in distress.
In fact, our Damsel has things pretty well in hand. Winemaker and owner, Mari Womack began her love affair with wine while working in Seattle restaurants. She caught the wine bug early when food and wine pairings captured her heart and her imagination. In 2010, she began working in nearby Woodinville tasting rooms, including Obelisco Estate and volunteering at Baer Winery during harvest. Becoming a part of the Woodinville wine community fostered her enthusiasm for winemaking and encouraged her to dream big.

Through these efforts, Mari was able to meet several winemakers in Woodinville and became the assistant winemaker at Darby Winery in 2011. Now completing her eleventh vintage, her wines continue to impress and she’s amassing a loyal following.

It is with pride and passion that Mari introduces her wines to you. The romance, ritual and history of wine continues to motivate and inspire her.

Please visit her in our Woodinville tasting room and rescue a bottle of your own!
